DEBUNKING THE MYSTERY OF THE GODHEAD...

Here are some things from my bible study today. I really hope you will read this post it might make a difference in who and what you perceive Christ Jesus to be.

These words are written in red...meaning the man Christ Jesus spoke them...
I and my Father are one....John 10:30

You can't get anymore plain than that! Now how could anyone believe that Jesus is different or a separate god from the Almighty (father) God? Jesus and God are the same. They are ONE. They are just different manifestations of that ONE God. There should not have to be any explaining of that! Jesus is not a part of the Godhead....HE IS THE GODHEAD.

And without controversy great is the mystery of Godliness...

GOD was...

manifested in the flesh,
Justified in the Spirit,
Seen by angels,
Preached among the Gentiles,
Believed on in the world,
Received up in glory....1 Timothy 3:16

As far as I know and according to scripture, Jesus was the only God manifest in the flesh, the only God Justified in the Spirit, the only God seen of angels. Jesus was the only God preached unto the gentiles (read the book of Acts), the only God believed on in the world, and the only God ever to be received up into glory.

MYSTERY SOLVED: Jesus is the ONE and ONLY God!!!!!

So see contrary to popular belief. There are NOT three Gods!!!!!!! There is one. Read Isaiah chapters 44-46.

Jesus is simply the name of God....

These words were written in red also...meaning Jesus spoke them...

I am come in my Father's name, and ye receive me not:...John 5:43

I guess that means the Father's name must be Jesus. That name simply means "savior". God is our savior...the only savior and his name is Jesus!!

WE ALL NEED A LITTLE REST...

Something struck me the other day as I read the title to a post of another blog I read.  The title, "MY MIND NEVER STOPS!".  Now this lady was talking about her never ending ideas on how to redecorate her home but the title spurred something in me about other areas of life.  I have found at times that my mind never stops either. I am busy with work, church, home, you name it....BUSY...as is everyone else.  Our minds never get a chance to rest, relax or take a vacation. We all are overly worked, overly entertained, or overly stimulated in some way or another. Even the very word vacation invokes thoughts of a whole other kind of work for some of us. Consequently, I believe this lack of "rest" is also the cause of so much stress, chaos, sleepless/restless nights and perhaps even sin in our lives today.

There is an old adage that says "There's no rest for the weary".  Perhaps that is true as the devil tends to do everything in his power to make us weary, to steal our time and make us tired, overworked and overstimulated in order to cause us to give less time and put in less effort on the thing that is most important...GOD.

However, I believe there is rest for the weary and the Bible tells us all about it.  Jesus said...

COME UNTO ME ALL YE THAT LABOUR AND ARE HEAVY LADEN,
AND I WILL GIVE YOU REST. TAKE MY YOKE UPON YOU, AND LEARN OF ME; FOR I AM MEEK AND LOWLY IN HEART: AND YE SHALL FIND REST UNTO YOUR SOULS.
                                       Matthew 11:28-29

We all need a rest.  Even the creator took a rest from all his work and he commanded in his word that we should do the same.  Now some believe that this means that we all should have a particular day of the week that we rest or take a break from doing anything.  That thought is very nice but in reality we never do that. I mean even on the days we set aside to not work, we still have to get up and do things...cook meals, bathe, eat, and even seek out some sort of entertainment/recreation...so technically there is no physical rest for our bodies, but how about our spirits (our minds)? In Isaiah God tells us that the Holy Ghost by speaking in other tongues is the rest and refreshing that we need for our spirit (mind).

FOR WITH STAMMERING LIPS AND ANOTHER TONGUE WILL HE SPEAK TO THIS PEOPLE.
TO WHOM HE SAID, "THIS" IS THE REST WHEREWITH YE MAY CAUSE THE WEARY TO REST; AND "THIS" IS THE REFRESHING: YET THEY WOULD NOT HEAR.
                                           Isaiah 28:11-12

With stammering lips and another tongue...We truly need the Holy Ghost, evidenced by speaking in other tongues, and to spend time praying in that other tongue, to get that much needed rest for our weary minds and souls.

If you, like the lady from the blog I read, has a mind that never stops, perhaps you too need to seek out God's method of rest and refreshing.  There's no other way to get true rest without it.  You might take a vacation (or I like to call it "workation") but you will never truly get real rest or refreshing until you kneel in prayer where the power of the Holy Ghost can truly transform and refresh your spirit. Just like sleeping is essential to rest our bodies, the Holy Ghost is essential to give us rest for our soul.

NOW GO GET SOME REST!!!

Are you content?

I see folks everywhere around me who seem to have just about anything and everything they desire while I not only struggle to make ends meet but even the things that I do have are less than desirable and fail to meet up to others' standard of living.  I have to admit that I have found myself discontent, discouraged and perhaps even jealous.  Have you ever found yourself in that frame or state of mind....DISCONTENT?

While I know that none of those attributes are in the least bit Godly, those feelings seem to flood my soul way more than they should at times.  One of those times was this morning.  Then I felt the Lord gently nudge me to a place in his word that talks about contentment.

...and destitute of the truth, supposing that gain is godliness; from such withdraw thyself.

But godliness with contentment is great gain.

For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out.

And having food and raiment let us be therewith content.

But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition.

For the love of money is the root of all evil; which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many arrows.

                                         1 Timothy 6:5b-10

Through this sixth chapter of 1 Timothy (please take the time to read it in it's entirety that you too can be blessed by what God has to say about contentment), God reminds me that our earthly goods should not play such an important role in our lives and that the things we have do not make us godly, but that godliness with contentment is GREAT gain.

The things we have or don't have, they are just that...THINGS...and God does not consider them to be gain or godly. In my case, it's my attitude about the things I have or don't have that matters and I really must learn to count my blessings more often. For one, I possess the greatest thing of all...the truth of God's word...the doctrine and gospel of Jesus Christ which is able to save my soul.

Earthly riches will come and go but the gift of God is eternal and it's of the utmost importance that we don't allow our desire for earthly possessions to cause us to err from the faith.  Food and raiment is truly all we need. Anything more is either a blessing or possibly a curse.

So if you find yourself discontent at times even perhaps jealous and discouraged, let the Lord say to you today that there is one thing more important than all worldly possessions...HIM....

So instead of seeking after the things of this world...which cannot make one happy or content, we are exhorted to...

But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
                                            Matthew 6:33

I have discovered by reading these scriptures today that I have MUCH to be thankful for.  There is no need for discontentment.  I have everything I need and more.  How about you?
