CRAFT NIGHT---MAKE & TAKE

A craft night makes for a fun time...do a make & take and it's even better.

Choose a place, date and time for your meeting.  This needs to be at a place where there is lots of room to spread out.  Craft supplies will be everywhere!

Ask each lady to bring some crafting supplies she has stashed at home and to bring her glue gun and glue sticks.  She will also need scissors.

Crafting supplies can include anything from scrapbook paper and supplies, fabric remnants, ribbons, baskets, silk or dried flowers, thrift store candle holders and picture frames, paints, markers, tags, etc.

ANYTHING GOES!

You might also include some cellophane bags and twist ties for your basket makers.

Once all the ladies have arrived, START CRAFTING.  It's each ladies choice as to what they choose to make.

Craft night can be done one of two ways.  Either place all the craft supplies in a general area for all the ladies to share, or have each lady bring the particular supplies for what she will be making.

NOTE:  If it is a share night, make sure the ladies KNOW they will be sharing their supplies.

The make & take part can also be done in one of two ways.  One way is that each lady will take home the item she makes.  Another way is to play a game.  Get all the ladies in a circle holding their craft.  Then read a "crafting story" to them,  each time the words "left" or "right" are used, the ladies pass the crafts either left or right.  When the story is finished each lady gets whatever crafted item she is holding.

Have some popcorn and soda and have a great time.

Suggestion:  To switch things up a bit, ask one of your more crafty ladies to give a crafting class or tutorial, especially if she is talented in certain arts such as painting or sewing.  If you have a florist or cake decorator in your group, ask them to host a tutorial night.  You could have each lady bring a cake to be decorated or the makings of a floral centerpiece.

HAVE FUN!!!
